GMM Grammy - my adventure in the music industry

GMM Grammy has been Thailand’s number one music label for over four decades. In the 90’s, I followed the label religiously. So when they asked me if I would like to be a Creative Director under their pop music label, White Music, the 10-year-old me screamed and squealed, then of course, accepted the job.
The music industry has been satisfying for a music fanatic like me in many ways. I got to see how albums, singles, music videos and artists are made, are branded, are projected out into the world. I got to work with colorful bands and vibrant solo artists. It has truly been a working experience I never thought I would have.
If you were to ask me what my job descriptions are, I’d call myself as both a creative and a strategist in visualizing, branding and styling artists and their music. We create the concept, the sound, the look of an artist - it’s art meets marketing.
My time in the music industry so far has been satisfying, confusing, and at times challenging, but all in all, I’m just discovering a new rhythm in letting my creativity out on a completely new canvas.
